We’re proud to welcome Nancy to the New Mindset Therapy team.

Nancy is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of dedicated experience specializing in geriatrics. She brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role, supporting older adults and their families through the unique challenges of aging.

Her career has included leadership as a Director of Nursing in long-term care, as well as advanced clinical roles, such as a Geriatric Assessor at the Memory Disorders Clinic for Ontario Health at Home and a Geriatric Emergency Management Nurse at Cornwall Community Hospital. She now works within Geriatric Mental Health Services at Cornwall Hospital, collaborating closely with geriatric psychiatrists from the Royal Ottawa Hospital.

Nancy’s expertise lies in dementia care and in supporting older adults experiencing behavioral and psychological symptoms, mood changes, anxiety, or sleep difficulties. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), using these evidence-based approaches to help clients find practical strategies for improved quality of life.

Holding both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Certification in Gerontology, Nancy is deeply committed to enhancing the health, independence, and dignity of older adults. At New Mindset Therapy, she offers a compassionate, client-centered approach that supports not only seniors but also the families and caregivers walking alongside them.
