EMDR Intensives
About EMDR Intensives
Accelerated Healing for Trauma, Attachment & Emotional Resilience
At New Mindset Therapy, we offer EMDR Intensives for individuals who are ready to do focused, transformative trauma work, without the need for months or years of weekly sessions. As EMDRIA-certified clinicians, we use this structured, high-impact format to help clients move through emotional blocks quickly and effectively. Each session is a minimum of 3 hours, allowing us to work through the full 8 phases of EMDR, ensuring a comprehensive and clinically sound process.
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, where day-to-day stressors can interrupt deeper trauma work, EMDR Intensives provide an uninterrupted space to stay focused, stay on track, and get results. This approach is ideal for individuals feeling stuck in therapy, struggling with symptoms of unresolved trauma, or looking to address issues related to grief, attachment, betrayal, relational wounds, or early developmental trauma.
Whether you're healing from a single incident or navigating the effects of complex trauma, our intensive packages are fully customized to your goals and readiness. A minimum of four sessions is recommended to allow for thorough assessment, preparation, processing, and integration. Receipts are provided for private insurance reimbursement under psychotherapy, social work, or clinical counselling services.
Led by EMDRIA-certified clinicians, intensives are ideal for:
- Individuals feeling stuck in ongoing therapy
- Those facing grief, relational trauma, or chronic invalidation
- Clients who are ready to commit to healing, without years of talk therapy

FAQs
Do I need to be in weekly therapy to do an EMDR Intensive?
No. Intensives can stand alone or complement your existing therapy work.
Is this covered by insurance?
Yes, many plans cover this under psychotherapy, clinical social work, or counselling. Receipts provided.
Do I have to share everything?
No. EMDR does not require you to re-tell every detail. The focus is on memory activation and emotional processing, not full disclosure.
What if I’m not ready to process trauma?
We begin with resourcing and stabilization. Your readiness and safety come first.
