Jessica Thomas

Child & Youth Therapist

Jessica Thomas is a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Therapist who brings warmth, empathy, and deep understanding to her work with children, teens, and their families.

With a strong foundation in psychology and social work, she is passionate about helping young people navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills that support lifelong wellbeing.

Jessica has experience across community mental health, hospital, and school-based settings. She has supported children and families through a wide range of concerns, including:

• Anxiety & Depression
• Trauma, Grief & Loss
• Emotional Regulation & Self-Esteem
• Life Transitions & Family Challenges

In her clinical work, Jessica uses play-based, creative, and expressive therapeutic modalities to help children process emotions in a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and safe environment. She combines these approaches with a Person-Centred therapeutic foundation, ensuring that each child feels genuinely heard, validated, and empowered in their healing journey.

Currently completing her Master’s in Counselling degree, Jessica is committed to continuous learning and delivering evidence-informed care that adapts to the unique needs of each child and family.

Families consistently describe Jessica as calm, approachable, and deeply attuned. She has a natural ability to connect with children at their level, helping them feel understood while building the trust needed to reduce reactive behaviours and support emotional growth. Her supportive presence and individualized approach create a safe space where children can thrive and families can feel confident in the path forward.
